Why have I received a bill from Genesis?
Genesis has received information from either your ordering physician or your insurance company indicating patient responsibility for testing services. For further information about the specific nature of the bill, please contact our Patient Billing department at 708-783-3280 #1

How often will Genesis bill me?
Genesis  will send you a bill approximately every 30 days. Payment from you is expected promptly upon receipt of the bill.  If you are a un-insured patient please see “Prompt Pay Discount”.

The toll free number for Patient Billing is 800-522-1425 Option #1. 

What methods of payment does Genesis accept?
Genesis accepts payment for laboratory service bills using any of the following methods: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal check, or money order.

Please remember to attach the stub of the bill when mailing in your payment, and include your invoice number on the check.

Will Genesis file claims to my insurance?

How do I file a claim using secondary insurance for the remainder of my lab bill?
If your physician provides Genesis with both your primary and secondary information we will be happy to submit the claims to insurance. If you are unsure if Genesis has your proper insurance info please contact us at 800-522-1425 option #1.

Why didn't my insurance pay this claim?
You should have received an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance carrier that explains in detail the services that were either paid or denied. If you need further assistance determining the reason(s) why your insurance company did not pay for your bill, please contact your insurance carrier directly.
